Why the Installer Matters as Much as the Product.
The Ghost 2 carries TASSA approval, the standard recognised by most major UK insurers for aftermarket immobilisers. This is the detail that separates a Ghost immobiliser that satisfies your insurer from one that does not.
TASSA approval is only valid when the Ghost 2 is fitted by a TASSA registered installer. A Ghost immobiliser purchased online and self fitted, or fitted by an unregistered installer, does not carry valid TASSA certification.
Your insurer will ask for the certificate and if it was not issued by a registered installer it will not be accepted.
