If your insurer has specified you need an S5 Tracker installation then you need an S5. Fitting an S7 when an S5 has been stipulated can leave your theft cover invalid, something we make sure never happens.
If your insurer has not specified a category the choice comes down to your vehicle and your risk level.
The S7 is a strong insurance approved tracker that suits most standard vehicles. The S5 adds Automatic Driver Recognition which is the defining defence against the relay theft and key cloning methods that are now the primary tool of organised vehicle crime gangs.
